Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Rate: 2026

The MONTGOMERY COUNTY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 105 will hold a public hearing on a proposed tax rate for the tax year 2026 on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the offices of Allen Boone Humphries Robinson LLP, 3200 Southwest Freeway, Suite 2400, Houston, TX 77027. Your individual taxes may increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the tax rate that is adopted and on the change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property. The change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in the taxable value of all other property determines the distribution of the tax burden among all property owners.

Rescinded: Stage 1 Voluntary Water Restrictions

Effective immediately, Montgomery County MUD 105 has rescinded Stage 1 of the Drought Contingency Plan.

Normal water usage may resume following the successful utilization of the emergency water interconnect between MCMUD105 and MCMUD152C. This shared infrastructure safely maintained system stability and continuity of service during MCMUD152C’s water well failure.

The Boards of Directors appreciate the cooperation of all residents and commend the collaborative partnership between our communities to ensure regional water security for Woodson’s Reserve.

Stage 1 Voluntary Water Restrictions

Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 105 (MCMUD 105) has officially initiated Stage 1 Voluntary Water Restrictions of its Drought Contingency Plan (DCP). The temporary measures are a proactive response to a catastrophic water well failure in neighboring districts MCMUD 152A, 152B, and 152C, requiring MCMUD 105 to provide emergency water supply support while repairs are underway.

To maintain adequate water pressure and system integrity across all interconnected networks, customers are strongly urged to limit non-essential and outdoor water use according to the district’s standardized guidelines.

STAGE 1 Voluntary Watering Schedule

Outdoor watering (including lawn irrigation, garden watering, and car washing) should be limited to specific days based on your street address:

  • Even-numbered addresses are requested to water only on even-numbered dates.
  • Odd-numbered addresses are requested to water only on odd-numbered dates.
  • Prohibited Hours: Outdoor water use is highly discouraged during peak hours between 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM (midnight) to maximize pressure availability.

Proactive Indoor Conservation Practices

  • Appliance Efficiency: Run washing machines and dishwashers only when completely full.
  • Leak Detection: Check internal plumbing fixtures, toilets, and outdoor spigots for hidden drips or leaks.
  • Daily Habits: Turn off the faucet while brushing teeth or shaving to minimize waste.
